Ecogensus is pleased to have its proprietary fuel featured by the well-respected Power Magazine. The article described a comprehensive technical analysis conducted by Uniper and led by some of the most respected power plant fuel experts in the world. Uniper’s report found that Ecogensus fuel, marketed as “SERF” in the United Kingdom, is technically suitable for use in large scale thermal power plants in a blend, and potentially up to full substitution, with little or no capital outlay and delivering a net reduction in operating costs. Ecogensus fuel accomplishes this by mimicking the characteristics of coal, while being made entirely from waste. The report concluded that the most important benefit of substituting coal with Ecogensus fuel is the reduction in CO2 emissions.
